Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 24, 2026
Ohana Excellence Assisted Living (“Ohana Excellence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what personal information we collect through ohanaexcellence.com, how we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you submit a form on our website:
- Contact information: your name, email address, and phone number
- Form-specific details, depending on which form you use: preferred contact method, which location you’re interested in, who care is for and your relationship to them, preferred timing, position of interest, referral details, and any message you choose to include
- Employment interests and experience that you choose to provide through our Careers form
We also automatically receive some technical information as part of standard web hosting, such as IP address, browser and device type, and access times, logged by our hosting provider. We also use Google Analytics 4 to collect information about how visitors use our site — see Section 3.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests
- Schedule tours and assessments
- Review career applications
- Follow up on referrals
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot our website
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 sets cookies that collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location (city-level). IP addresses are anonymized. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
At this time, Ohana Excellence does not use advertising pixels (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel), session-recording or heatmap tools (such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity), live chat widgets, or a customer relationship management (CRM) system on this website.
Our Locations and Contact pages include an embedded Google Map. When you view or interact with that map, Google may collect information and set cookies according to Google’s own privacy policy — that collection is Google’s, not ours, and happens independently of anything else on this page.
If we add advertising pixels or other tracking tools in the future, we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism before those tools become active, consistent with California law.
4. Third-Party Technologies
We use the following third-party technologies on this website. Each service has its own privacy practices; we link to their policies where available.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Google LLC. Tracks anonymized page views, referrers, general geographic location, and site interactions for the purpose of understanding how visitors use our site. IP addresses are anonymized. Ad-personalization cookies are disabled by default. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google Maps embed — Google LLC (used on our Locations and Contact pages to display maps). Sets cookies when a map loads. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts (self-hosted on our server; no data transmitted to Google).
This list reflects the technologies currently active on the site. We will update this section as we add or remove services. We do not use Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or any session-recording tools at this time.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information with the service providers that help us operate our website and respond to you — our email delivery service, which routes form submissions to our team, and our website hosting provider. These providers only receive what’s necessary to perform those services.
Career application materials are reviewed by Ohana Excellence staff involved in hiring.
We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the safety of residents, staff, or the public.
6. International Data Transfers
Ohana Excellence operates, and our website is hosted, in the United States. If you access our website from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
7. Data Security
Our website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted securely. Career application files are stored outside the publicly accessible part of our website, with access restricted to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.
8. Sensitive Personal Information
Our forms are designed to avoid asking for medical, health, or diagnostic details. Our Schedule an Assessment form specifically asks that you not include this kind of detail in the message field, since our team discusses care needs directly with you by phone or in person. If you choose to include sensitive details in a free-text message field anyway, we treat that information with additional care and use it only to respond to your specific inquiry.
Career application materials may include employment history or other details you choose to share as part of applying.
9. Data Retention
We keep form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain business records, after which we delete or archive them. Career application careers inquiries are retained for a reasonable period related to the hiring process. Please do not send resumes or sensitive employment records through the website form.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we’ve collected about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15, or use the mechanism described on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
11. California Privacy Rights / CPRA
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Ohana Excellence does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You can submit a request by emailing or calling us (Section 15), or through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
12. Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Data Breach Notification
If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals as required under California law and other applicable law.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date above.
